Dr. Colley

Fontana Veterinarian

Patricia Colley had always wanted to be a veterinarian but changed her major in college to Agricultural Business Management.  However, after being in banking for 10 years, she decided to become a veterinarian.  So, with the help and support of husband and family, she graduated from UC Davis in 1996 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine, and in 1997, received her Masters in Preventive Veterinary Medicine.  Her thesis was on the elemental composition of cat teeth with and without feline resorptive lesions, which was published in the American Journal of Veterinary Research.

She completed a medical and surgical internship at Animal Specialty Group in Los Angeles in 1998, and lived in Northern California where she completed a Don Low Fellowship in Small Animal Anesthesia in 2005; taught veterinary technician students at Western Career College (now Carrington); was on the UC Davis Veterinary Admissions Advisory Committee and was medical director of Kitten Central of Placer County (a neonatal kitten rescue).  She is also Fear Free certified (Fear Free is an organization that advocates for happier veterinary visits for dogs and cats).

Dr. Colley and her husband moved back to Southern California in 2014, and she started working at Prestige Animal Hospital on Saturdays for 3 years.  She is now very happy to be working full time at Prestige South.  She has 2 dogs and a cat, and in her spare time, she enjoys history, thrift stores, and road trips.
